Vintage style ring featuring a 15mm stone set in a detailed crowned setting. The Crown setting is a sterling silver finish that is heirloom quality. Sits atop a thick adjustable base of Black Filigree that is lovely, yet very sturdy. Great addition to your jewelry collection or a wonderful gift for Halloween, birthday or Christmas gift. This special stone is named for the beautiful, shimmering flecks of blue/purple flecks which make these glass opal look like they are "on fire". These are one of a kind pieces as every opal is unique. These stones are made in present day, but date back to Victorian times where they were worn in necklaces, brooches, earrings and rings. Historical figures were also mesmerized by the nature of the seeming "fire flecks" shimmering within these unique stones.

It is adjustable by widening or closing the ends. Since this is a sturdy ring base and not at all flimsy, you can adjust this to your size and it will keep it's shape. This is an heirloom quality piece. It is recommended that you remove it for bathing, swimming and dish washing. It should not be in contact with water for long periods.
